Dear Fellow RVIMA members,
Seasons’ Greetings – and I wish everyone a wonderful time and much
health, happiness and prosperity in the New Year!
On Thursday, December 15th the RVIMA will have its
annual holiday party along with a very informative session covering
background checks for hiring purposes.
Learn what is and is not acceptable within the law regarding what
you can and cannot research on a potential employee.
For the holiday party there will be raffles for a variety of gifts.
The first raffle allows each person to choose from available gifts,
while the second raffle is for higher value gifts.
The grand prize is a $50 gift certificate for either restaurant at
the Somerset DoubleTree and matched by the Raritan Valley IMA for a total
dinner value of $100. The
RVIMA portion can be used towards alcoholic beverages.
On Saturday, March 17th we will present an exciting
seminar/workshop at the Raritan Valley Community College.
Ed Kaye of Bloomberg and Barbara Newman, founder Beacon HR, LLC
will be presenting. This four
CPE session will be from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
The workshop will cover topics ranging from the world of hiring
today, to resume writing, and other topics.
Please watch your email for further information as we get closer.
We will not be having a meeting in January, but the Morris/Essex
chapter will have one on Thursday, January 19th.
Please check their website for information.
Our next meeting will be on February 16th.
I look forward to seeing everyone next week.
